The Giant Swing

For many children the Giant Swing is always one of the highlights of the week.


Everyone has to help pull the swing up.




Each pair can decide how far they want to go. Some people go right to the top.


The instructor counts 3...2...1.
One person pulls the rope from behind and then .....  you FLY!




Mr Stannard was very popular this morning. Some people would only go on the Giant Swing if he went with them.




Chloe H. overcame her fear of heights  and went a long way up.  Well done Chloe!


Our instructor Brendan, was brilliant.  He managed to let everyone have 2 goes and as there was some time left he suggested Mr Santy and Mr Stannard went on.... BACKWARDS!

Megan took this amazing action shot just as the rope was pulled .

Miss Stannard was persuaded to go on.  Oscar accompanied her and pulled the rope as she was clinging onto the bar!


3...2...1... GO!


It is an amazing sensation swinging to and fro - you can hear the wind as you move.

We LOVED this morning.

    Well done on the Giant Swing Miss Stannard!! I'm very impressed. Oscar you certainly don't get your bravery from me. Have a great time at the disco and try to get some sleep on your last night. We are all missing you......looks like your comb may be missing you too ;-) xx
