Dragon Boat Racing

A lovely afternoon, just right for a dragon boat race.

We were divided into 2 teams. Miss Leftley and Mr Santy went with one team, Mr Gillen and Mr Stannard went with the other.

First, we had to get life jackets on.

Then it was time to learn a few commands...

... and to try and paddle in time!

At the jetty we had to do a roll call before getting into the dragon boat.

Another school competed against us but Roydon were first and second across the finishing line.
